This initiative is part of the BPTO 2025 Strategic Action Plan, focused on accelerating innovation, improving IP enforcement, and streamlining brand protection mechanisms.

Until now, Brazil offered no formal pathway for trademark fast-tracking. The new regulation provides a legitimate, clear, and structured mechanism for obtaining priority status—ensuring faster resolution in critical commercial scenarios.
This reform aligns Brazil with international IP best practices and unlocks new strategic tools for foreign applicants and legal representatives navigating the Brazilian market.
