Vitalchat has received a new patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office for its patient monitoring and bandwidth conservation features within the artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled E-Sitter software.
The software consists of a server, a user device and an in-room monitoring device, which picks up on movement and voice cues.
Vitalchat’s newly patented features include video analytics and bandwidth preservation, which enable hospitals to significantly cut network requirements while allowing nurses and providers to monitor up to 100 rooms simultaneously.
The video analytics feature leverages edge computing for monitoring patients and hospital spaces for movement and voice cues, transferring metadata around the clock.
