INPI launches the Brazilian Innovation and Development Index (IBID)

The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) launched this Monday (5), in Rio de Janeiro, the first edition of the Brazilian Innovation and Development Index (IBID). The index is a complete and current map of innovation in the country, revealing the performance of local science, technology and innovation (ST&I) ecosystems from different perspectives.

In addition to providing detailed metrics on innovation performance across the five Major Regions and 27 Federation Units, IBID identifies national and regional innovation leaders, ranking states and regions based on criteria that include the results of the innovation process and the factors that influence it.
